Position Summary
In this role, you will take full commercial ownership of a strategically significant customer portfolio, driving new business, build long‑term partnerships based on trust, and deliver profitable and sustainable growth. You’ll act as the central connection point between customers, operations, and internal stakeholders, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional customer experience.
This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially minded KAM with strong experience in sales but who also can manage complexity, being detailed minded, and excellent communication skills since many key internal key stakeholders are international and be motivated to deliver exceptional and tangible results.
Accountabilities
1. Account strategy and commercial leadership
- Develop a sales account plan for each customer, articulating both short-term tactical objectives and longer-term strategic objectives, including customer needs, value proposition development and stakeholder engagement leadership
- Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing customers and new prospects
- Proactively find and engage new business opportunities across markets and segments
- Initiate actions that lead to increased sales, improved pricing, reduced costs, fewer complaints, and stronger customer satisfaction
- Ensure prompt follow‑up on all actions resulting from customer visits
- Continuously improving our Voice of Customer performance
2. Drive business performance
- Build and check performance versus the annual sales budget per account
- Achieve monthly and annual targets for volume, revenue, and margin
- Lead the forecasting process, ensuring accuracy and transparency
- Review and manage pipeline of opportunities in readiness for monthly review, summarizing key developments and internal needs
- Collaborate closely with Huhtamaki Customer Service in both Clayton, Australia and Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam
- Oversee customer payments and manage outstanding debts
- Manage and reduce ageing stock within the region
3. Internal stakeholder management
- Ensure key stakeholders in the company are up to date with critical information and developments in the accounts
- Support in customer specific innovation and marketing events
- Contribute to weekly and monthly reports covering:
- Market developments
- Customer issues, complaints, gains & losses
- Competitor activity, pricing, and product trendsSells company's products to new clients or assigned accounts. Visits clients, assesses client needs, improves brand awareness, and suggests appropriate products. Ensures effective implementation of marketing and sales plans. Responds to enquiries, negotiates sales and concludes sales orders.
