We are seeking a high-potential, relationship-driven Business Development Executive to join our commercial growth team in Malaysia.

This is a dynamic, field-facing business acquisition role designed as a launchpad into corporate sales. Working closely with our senior sales leaders, your focus will be on visiting corporate clients face-to-face, understanding their physical document and record management challenges, and introducing Iron Mountain’s trusted solutions. If you bring a strong work ethic and excellent interpersonal skills, we will provide the global brand backing, product training, and mentorship to help you grow.

What You’ll Do

  • Market Connection & Outreach: Map out local corporate sectors, research prospective businesses, and conduct targeted outreach to build fresh connections with new corporate clients.

  • On-Site Client Walkthroughs: Meet with corporate clients in person to understand how they currently store, manage, and protect their physical records and confidential files.

  • Solution Advisory: Help businesses optimize their information lifecycle, illustrating the long-term cost savings, space optimization, and security advantages of Iron Mountain's core storage and management services.

  • Collaborative Account Execution: Guide new clients through the sales cycle—from the initial face-to-face introduction and proposal presentation through to contract pricing and Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Team Alignment: Partner with our local operations and service delivery teams to ensure a smooth transition and onboarding experience for your new accounts.

  • Pipeline Management: Keep your sales activities organized and up to date within our commercial tracking systems (Salesforce).

What You’ll Bring

  • The Sales Foundation: 1 to 2 years of successful sales or business development experience 

  • Resilient & Positive Mindset: A proven history of generating your own leads, navigating client objections with a solution-oriented attitude, and staying self-motivated to hit targets.

  • Strong Interpersonal Polish: Exceptional communication and presentation skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia, with the natural capability to build quick rapport with corporate managers and directors.

  • Eagerness to Learn: A highly coachable mindset with a strong desire to learn structured, professional B2B sales methodologies to elevate your commercial skills.

  • Mobility to Connect: Possession of your own transport and a strong desire to be out in the market meeting people face-to-face rather than sitting behind an office desk all day.

  • Academic Grounding: A College Degree or equivalent real-world commercial track record.
