MTD Trucks is seeking a commercially driven Key Account Manager to manage key accounts and drive new business growth across Auckland. This role suits a true hunter–builder who thrives on long-term relationships while confidently closing complex B2B deals.

The Opportunity

Based in Mt. Wellington and representing Volvo and Mack Trucks, you will:

  • Manage and grow key customer accounts while identifying new opportunities
  • Drive end-to-end sales cycles including proposals, pricing, and contract negotiation
  • Build and maintain a strong B2B sales pipeline with accurate CRM reporting
  • Deliver tailored solutions across trucks, finance, and service packages
  • Develop territory and account plans to achieve targets
  • Partner with internal teams to deliver a seamless customer experience

About You

You’re a natural relationship builder and deal maker, someone who doesn’t wait for opportunities but creates them. You'll also bring:

  • Proven B2B sales success (transport/heavy industry advantageous)
  • Experience managing large accounts and long sales cycles
  • Strong pipeline management, negotiation, and closing skills
  • Commercial acumen with strategic thinking and problem-solving ability
  • High levels of resilience, persistence, and adaptability
  • Confident communicator with stakeholder management skills
  • CRM and strong IT skills
  • Current NZ driver’s licence
