Job Summary: The primary role for the KAM is to maximize commercial opportunities and strengthen Ferring’s partnerships by being recognized as a highly valued, credible and respected long-term partner for our key accounts and key decision makers (KDM’s) in Reproductive Medicine, such as Head of Clinics and KOLs This will be achieved by having a thorough understanding of our key account needs and Ferring’s RM strategy and goals. The KAM needs to be capable and empowered to develop and deliver solutions which result in ‘triple win’ value (patient, key account and Ferring) solutions.
Job Responsibilities:
• Engage with key account KDM’s to build long-term relationships that drive commercial - and partnership opportunities through the optimal positioning of our brands, identification of unmet needs and delivery of localised services
•Using market data and tools like the patient journey, patient flow and stakeholder segmentation and mapping, lead the cross-functional identification, collation and analysis of all key account insights, to gain a deep and holistic understanding of the key accounts position, objectives and needs.
• Lead the development of cross-functional objectives that deliver triple win value. Develop tactics and activities that are sequenced to build long term engagement with KDM’s
• Organise and set cross-functional meetings to regularly share new insights, review progress, monitor KPI’s and update strategy
• Working with KDM’s and internal Ferring colleagues to develop, co-develop and implement value offerings (services) to address Key Account needs
• Identify cross-regional links and relationships of large key account networks and engage with regional and global teams to align on key account plans
Job Qualifications:
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Business, or related field.
- Advanced degree (MBA, MSc, PharmD) preferred.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of pharmaceutical sales/marketing/account management experience.
- Strong track record of achieving/exceeding sales targets.
- Experience working with hospitals, specialty products, or rare disease therapies is a plus.
Skills
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally in a matrix organization.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
