About the Role:
As a Key Account Manager, you’ll play a vital role in managing and expanding a portfolio of strategic clients across the maritime sector. This client-facing position is all about building trust, delivering value, and uncovering growth opportunities — both with existing customers and new prospects.
You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver tailored solutions and contribute to Wilhelmsen’s continued growth across established and emerging markets.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Grow and manage a defined portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and long-term partnerships
Identify new business opportunities using WSS’s internal tools, databases, and market insights
Drive profitable sales growth and ensure alignment with targets
Develop strong, multilevel relationships with customer stakeholders
Work closely with Technical Sales Managers and Business Development teams to create and execute account strategies
Plan and conduct measurable sales activities (e.g., visits, reviews, proposals)
Leverage Salesforce and Power BI for performance tracking and opportunity analysis
Maintain up-to-date CRM records, manage contracts proactively, and ensure sound credit management
Collaborate seamlessly with internal teams including Customer Service, Port Service Engineers, and Technical Solutions to ensure delivery excellence
What You Bring to the Table:
Proven experience in international B2B sales, ideally within technical or maritime sectors
Strong commercial acumen with a customer-first mindset
A background in marine engineering or maritime operations is a strong plus (e.g., sailing experience, certifications)
Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of closing deals
Self-motivated and organized, with strong time-management abilities
Fluent in English (Dutch or additional languages are a bonus)
