Job DescriptionAre you a strategic relationship builder who thrives in complex healthcare environments? Do you enjoy connecting the dots across stakeholders, shaping tailored engagement plans, and creating meaningful impact for patients and business outcomes? We are looking for a Key Account Manager to act as a trusted partner for key accounts in western Switzerland (French speaking) and help drive successful access to AbbVie products.
In this role, you will serve as the main point of contact for key accounts, working closely with a broad network of internal and external stakeholders. You’ll develop customized account strategies, build strong relationships, and coordinate cross-functional efforts to ensure aligned, effective engagement across the account landscape.
What you’ll do:
- Develop tailored approaches and clear engagement plans for key accounts, with defined objectives and activities to optimize the use and funding of AbbVie products
- Act as the main AbbVie contact for non-clinician stakeholders, building trusted relationships and understanding their priorities, constraints, and decision-making processes
- Play an active role in brand teams and collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to deliver on brand objectives
- Drive business growth by anticipating barriers to product usage and supporting provider formulary access to help achieve revenue targets
- Coordinate internal interactions, build consensus, resolve conflicts, and escalate issues where needed
- Monitor contracting and tendering activity across key accounts
- Build and manage relationships within the account ecosystem
- Lead multidisciplinary teams without formal authority, creating alignment and solving challenges within the in-field team
- Execute engagement plans and ensure consistent interaction across all in-field functions involved with the account
- Work with Market Access Value Proposition colleagues to provide stakeholders with tailored clinical, economic, and service-oriented information
- Track the execution and impact of account activities and measure performance regularly
- Negotiate, close, and sign deals, and support or lead the contracting and tendering process as needed
What you bring:
- A university degree in economics, law, marketing, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in a sales or commercial role within the healthcare environment
- Strong knowledge of the healthcare landscape, including provider and payer environments and healthcare funding flows
- Highly developed influencing skills, combined with sound political awareness and judgment
- A reputation for authenticity, integrity, and trustworthiness
- A strong understanding of cost pressure, containment, and provider needs
- Business-fluent English, and French, with German being an advantage
The ideal candidate will also be able to:
- Motivate, lead, and coordinate in-field teams without direct reporting lines
- Build strong, long-lasting strategic relationships with non-clinician stakeholders
- Turn strategy into practical, realistic engagement plans that support market access and align with brand strategy
