We are seeking a Key Account Manager to support and expand Solenis’ chemical and process programs within the Shreveport region. This role blends technical service, process optimization, and commercial ownership, requiring both hands‑on problem solving and strategic account development.
You will act as a trusted advisor, helping mills improve runnability, quality, production output, and environmental compliance through optimized chemical programs.
What You’ll DoTechnical Program Management- Conduct routine testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting for:
- Pulp processing
- Paper machine wet‑end systems
- Utility systems such as cooling towers, boilers, and evaporators
- Mill wastewater treatment systems
- Optimize chemical feed programs to enhance sheet quality, mill throughput, asset protection, and sustainability.
- Investigate and correct process issues such as scaling, deposits, stickies/pitch, poor retention, or runnability challenges.
- Perform audits and system evaluations to improve reliability and support continuous improvement.
- Develop strong relationships with mill operations, engineering, reliability leaders, and procurement teams.
- Identify and propose program expansions that create measurable value for the mill.
- Present KPIs, business reviews, performance data, and improvement plans in a clear, professional manner.
- Manage account revenue, pricing execution, margin performance, and contract compliance.
- Maintain and prioritize an accurate SFDC sales funnel.
- Support inventory management, order coordination, and onsite service needs.
- Adhere to Solenis and mill safety protocols.
- Participate in site‑required training and proactively identify safety improvements.
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Prior experience in pulp & paper or industrial water treatment environments (experience with wet‑end chemistry or pulp processes preferred).
- Strong troubleshooting, critical thinking, and process‑optimization skills.
- Excellent relationship‑building and communication abilities.
- Comfort working independently at customer sites while managing multiple priorities.
