This is an exciting job opportunity for you as a Key Account Manager – Intelligent Buildings, in Montevideo, Uruguay, with Signify.

The Key Account Manager develops and manages relationships and manage technical sales. The role focuses on driving sales growth and innovation adoption by leveraging Signify’s complete portfolio of lighting products, connected systems, and services to deliver sustainable, smart, and people-centric lighting solutions. In the role, you will manage strategic relationships with key accounts to maximize opportunities in the lighting projects business to drive profitable growth and customer satisfaction.

Manages strategic relationships with key accounts to maximize opportunities in the lighting projects business to drive profitable growth and customer satisfaction. Leads the design and implementation of lighting solutions that meet customer requirements while promoting Signify’s connected and sustainable innovations. Coordinates cross-functional teams to ensure timely, high-quality project delivery.

  • Manages assigned key accounts (Installers, general contractors, specifiers, project partners, end users) across the customer ecosystem, being accountable for all projects within the account, including direct responsibility for medium and large lighting projects.

  • Delivers sales targets, revenue growth, and profitability objectives within the assigned territory. Builds and nurtures strong, multi-level relationships with key accounts and stakeholders (installers, contractors, specifiers, consultants) to influence product selection and secure specifications and to create pull for Signify’s innovations. Manages complex interactions across the customer ecosystem, including partners, alliances, and specifiers, ensuring alignment and collaboration across all phases of project development and delivery.

  • Has an in-depth understanding of the market and defines an account strategy that drives profitable high growth opportunities for Signify as well as operationally managing the execution.

  • Coordinates across Signify teams (e.g. Sales Specialists, Product Marketing, Order Desk, Quote Support, LiAS, Supply Chain, Customer Satisfaction etc.) with the objective of meeting account performance objectives and customer’s expectations.

  • Collaborates with offer management and marketing teams to tailor offerings and drives continuous improvement initiatives by gathering client feedback and implementing solutions. Identifies and pursues project opportunities from early design stages through to execution and delivery.

  • Monitors performance and manages accuracy of forecast and prepares detailed reports to inform decision-making. Tracks and keeps up to date project progress in CRM. Resolves project challenges proactively to ensure on-time, in-scope, and on-budget delivery.

  • Leads commercial discussions and negotiates contracts to maximize profitability and strengthen customer partnerships. Promotes connected, digital, and sustainable lighting systems that address customer needs for efficiency, performance, and compliance

  • Manages technical and commercial projects, including detailed calculations for pricing, product configurations, and margin analysis. Oversees the preparation and coordination of all project documentation—specifications, technical files, and customer proposals.

  • Leads the end-to-end tender process for strategic projects, including identifying opportunities, coordinating internal resources, and preparing competitive submissions. Continuously enhances knowledge of Signify’s solutions, connected systems, and market developments. Participates actively in learning programs and sales capability initiatives.

Critical Experiences

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or related field of Engineering

  • 5+ years of experience technical sales or within the lighting or related project ecosystem, demonstrating success in managing complex customer relationships and driving profitable growth.

  • Relevant sales or project management certifications are essential to validate skills in managing projects and strategic accounts effectively.

  • Experience in key account management or sales within the lighting or related project ecosystem is a strong advantage, particularly if you have demonstrated success in managing complex customer relationships and driving profitable growth.

  • Strong technical sales and project management skills are essential for effectively managing projects and strategic accounts.

    Skills Required

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field
    • 5+ years of experience in key account management or sales within the public sectors
    • Relevant sales or project management certifications
    • Experience in handling complex customer relationships
