As a Key Account Manager - Public Sector you’ll be responsible for building and fostering relationships with major new and existing end-user key accounts such as municipalities, ESCOs, utilities and other governmental institutions.

What you’ll do

Manage sales activities of large projects (MM€) in the public sector, and lead the business development, commercial alliances, technological solution and business acceleration towards digitalization & IoT.

Develop, maintain, and improve partnerships with selected large end-user key accounts (e.g. large municipalities, governmental institutions, ESCOS, utilities) by maximizing sales opportunities through innovative lighting solutions.

Identify new commercial growth opportunities and define commercial strategies and forecasts based on short- and long-term analysis of business drivers, targets, financial models etc.

Coordinate public procurement and tender processes on the public sector.

Promote tailored smart lighting solutions that promote energy efficiency, safety, and sustainability.

Collaborate with a team of regionally based sales specialists, fostering public sector business at local and regional public administration entities.

Ensure professional collaboration with in- and external stakeholders; create partnerships with your customers.

Drive for the highest level of customer satisfaction by understanding the customers’ challenges and taking on a solution-based and value-selling approach.
Your qualifications

Master’s and/or bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Economics, Technology, or related discipline.

10+ years of experience in a key account management role selling B2B solutions to public sector.

Proven ability to achieve ambitious sales targets as well as understand complex sales cycles at a strategic level, including public tender processes and requirements, very good technical understanding of connected systems.

Can-do attitude; ambitious and passionate about professional growth; team player.

Strong networking stills, capable of building strong relationships on public entities and C-Suite level stakeholders.

Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and leadership skills.

Fluent Portuguese and English language skills (excellent verbal and written) - as a must, and Spanish as a plus.
