As a Key Account Manager:in – New Business, you will be responsible for developing and growing strategic account relationships while identifying new business opportunities. You will manage complex sales environments, work closely with internal teams, and contribute directly to business growth.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, qualify and develop new business opportunities with prospects in the B2B market; strong qualification is essential to drive sustainable growth
  • Manage and grow a portfolio of medium to large key accounts across the Canon Office (MPS) business portfolio
  • Take full ownership of sales targets, budgets, forecasts, and order intake for your accounts
  • Build and execute strategic account plans (Salesforce Plan to Prosper, Relationship Matrix, Plan to Close) in close collaboration with internal business units
  • Actively build and manage a strong and healthy sales opportunity pipeline (short-, mid- and long-term)
  • Lead negotiations within complex decision-making units and extended buying cycles
  • Develop and maintain trusted relationships with senior decision-makers (D- and C-level)
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction through long-term, value-driven partnerships that reflect Canon’s customer-centric approach
Qualifications
  • Strong new business and hunter mindset, with a genuine appetite for prospecting and opportunity creation in the B2B market
  • Comfortable and motivated by the fundamentals of sales: cold calling, investigating, mapping accounts, qualifying leads, opening doors and building new contacts
  • This role requires discipline, consistency, and a true passion for opening new doors. If prospecting is more than a task for you — if it is part of who you are — you will thrive in this role
  • Able to consistently repeat prospecting efforts over time, demonstrating resilience, rigor and focus
  • Proven ability to proactively identify, qualify and convert new opportunities in complex B2B sales environments
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Switzerland as a Key Account Manager:in, working with medium to large accounts
  • Ability to engage, influence and negotiate with senior stakeholders at D- and C-level
  • Broad knowledge of IT solutions; experience in Managed Print Services (MPS) and document management is a strong advantage
  • Fluent in English, native German; French is an advantage
  • Clear, confident communicator with strong presentation skills and a solid numerical mindset
  • Resilient, curious and persistent personality, thriving in an ambitious, performance-driven sales environment
