Ferring+You

You will effectively promote Microbiome based new product to targeted Healthcare Professionals and relevant stakeholders (nurses, hospital administrators, P&T committee, hospital pharmacists) and establish it as new standard of care in recurrent C-Diff. 

As a KAM, you must establish and maintain excellent relationships with customers, leveraging thorough product knowledge of our therapies, disease areas expertise and account management/ operational management to ensure execution to the last mile/ patient use. Your role will require deep cooperation and collaboration cross functionally with Brand Marketing Leads, Medical Science Liaisons, logistics team and other team members.

Your day at Ferring

Account Management:

  • Ensure new therapy is accepted as the standard of care at the targeted sites and there is buy in from the key stakeholders – doctors, nurses, pharmacists, administrators.

  • Responsible for disease state education to the targeted stakeholders in partnership with medical

  • Responsible for ensuring the sites are set for administration – i.e. site of care operations is established in partnership with the key stakeholders at the site.

  • Work cross functionally within the customer account to ensure key stakeholders and their support staff are engaged, ensuring early therapy adoption and operational set up for product logistics. Ensure product adoption in targeted ID outpatient clinics and GI clinics. Identify individuals within the geography that have the greatest impact on decision-making and sales adoption and develop long lasting relationships accordingly.

  • Achieve sales goals according to company and department requirements.

  • Utilize discretionary budget for maximum impact on sales.

Selling Skills:

  • Work collaboratively with the MSL to differentiate Ferring offering, help establish disease awareness and establish a new standard of preventing recurrence of C- difficile.

  • Anticipate and respond to customers’ questions, objections, and concerns.

  • Evaluate the needs of customers and increase product utilization by tailoring the approach for each call or presentation based on each customer’s specific mindset.

  • Leverage all available sales and marketing resources to sell and effectively identify the best resources to use on each presentation and sales call.

  • Participate in company-sponsored and/or company-approved training programs to constantly improve knowledge and selling skills.

Clinical Acumen:

  • Maintain knowledge of applicable clinical studies and market related clinical landscape to inform customers and address questions, concerns, and objections on the use of Ferring’s products.

  • Understand and communicate value proposition of new therapy to a variety of hospital stakeholders, accelerating uptake.

  • Identify and appropriately leverage the adoption cascade and influencer networks.

Business Acumen:

  • Analyze, prioritize and establish call order and route optimization that maximizes opportunities to increase sales.

  • Analyze impact of reimbursement coverage in the territory and its effect on prescribing decisions, and accordingly modify sales and promotion strategies.

  • Ensure compliance with OCE/ salesforce deliverables example entering calls.

  • Contribute to and attend meetings, conventions, conferences, and training programs.

  • Independently manage time and tasks to achieve maximum customer impact, support, and sales volume.

  • Recommend sales and marketing strategies based on evaluation of customer needs, dynamics, trends, and competitors’ products or services.

  • Understand market dynamics and healthcare economics

Behind our innovation…There’s you

  • Bachelor’s degree required, MBA or other advanced degree preferred.

  • 6+ years of pharmaceutical/healthcare sales experience required.

  • 3+ years hospital sales experience

  • Infectious disease or Gastroenterology experience strongly preferred.

  • Experience in ON or Quebec

  • Experience with account planning including tools, resources, and reporting preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in account management and exceptional customer service skills.

  • Demonstrated understanding of managed care landscape and how it influences and impacts business.

  • Demonstrated independent decision making, effective problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.

  • Advanced presentation skills and business acumen a necessity.
