Role Summary: 

The Key Account Manager is responsible for planning and executing account-level engagement strategies for a defined set of priority accounts. The role focuses on understanding account dynamics, aligning engagement to stakeholder needs, and working with cross-functional partners to support consistent, compliant execution. As a core member of the Dyne Regional Team, the Key Account Manager works within a matrixed environment, partnering across Commercial, Medical, Market Access & Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, and Marketing to deliver a coordinated customer experience and support effective pull-through.

This is a field-based role.  Candidates must reside within the assigned territory and within reasonable driving distance of a major commercial airport capable of supporting frequent regional and national travel. 

Primary Responsibilities include: 

Account Strategy & Execution

  • Develops and executes account plans for a portfolio of priority accounts, aligning engagement strategies to account dynamics, stakeholder roles, and patient care pathways
  • Applies approved strategies, tools, and resources to address account-specific opportunities and barriers while remaining aligned with company direction and compliance standards
  • Prioritizes activities within assigned accounts to optimize customer experience and support effective adoption across the care continuum
  • Develop market strategies within territory through timely and appropriate patient identification, geographic treatment center patterns, and continually assessing market opportunities by analyzing key account plans with changing treatment landscape dynamics.

Targeted Stakeholder Engagement

  • Tailors engagement approaches based on stakeholder type including clinical, operational, and administrative decision-makers to drive agreement decisions with multiple stakeholders
  • Supports Medical-led scientific, clinical, and value-based engagement through coordination with Medical partners and other cross-functional colleagues
  • Builds and maintains strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across assigned accounts

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional field partners to support aligned, timely, and compliant execution within assigned accounts
  • Collaborates closely with colleagues across Commercial, Medical, Market Access & Patient Services, Patient Advocacy, and Compliance to support account objectives and improve patient access and experience
  • Willing to serve as an Account point of contact, while still partnering with internal team to share account insights, trends, and execution learnings to inform broader strategy and enhance cross-functional alignment

Regional Team Collaboration & Matrix Execution

  • Operates as an active contributor within the Dyne Regional Team, supporting shared regional goals through collaboration, alignment, and disciplined execution
  • Effectively navigates a matrixed organization by balancing regional priorities with enterprise strategies and functional guidance
  • Contributes to regional planning, coordination, and performance discussions by providing timely insights and feedback from the field, and uses post meeting analysis to enhance approach with territory plans, to prioritize time and activities, that optimize accounts most in need.
  • Reinforces a team-based culture by aligning actions, sequencing engagement, and supporting consistent messaging across customer touchpoints

Education and Skills Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree in a scientific, clinical, or business discipline preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in biotech or pharmaceutical field roles, with demonstrated success in hospital/ academic medical centers, strategic sales, or medical-adjacent commercial roles. Children’s hospital experience a plus.
  • 4+ years of experience working in rare neuromuscular disease markets including buy/bill infused products preferred. High degree of understanding/ learning of a complex biologic process for healthcare administrated treatments.
  • Demonstrated ability to tailor engagement approaches to multiple stakeholder types using approved resources and materials and navigate complex patient situations in a thoughtful & compliant manner, that comes with a rare disease environment.
  • Proven ability to succeed in a matrixed, team-based field environment, collaborating across functions to achieve shared regional objectives
  • Strong understanding of patient care pathways, access considerations, and the specialty healthcare landscape
  • Specialty product launch experience a plus.
  • Excellent communication, business acumen, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Travel up to 80% is required for this role
MA Pay Range
$190,000$225,000 USD

The pay range reflects the base pay range Dyne reasonably expects to pay for this role at the time of posting. Individual compensation depends on factors such as education, experience, job-related knowledge, and demonstrated skills.
