Job DescriptionWhat you’ll be doing:
- Providing technical leadership on complex client projects
- Leading technical teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
- Defining technical architectures and solutions
- Working with business users to define requirements for new application functionality
- Developing, testing, supporting and maintaining all code for client applications
- Analysing data and creating reports for clients, incorporating all findings
Experience and skills required:
- 5+ years kdb+ development experience
- Experience of defining and implementing kdb+ architectures
- Proven delivery of technical solutions to appropriate standards and methodologies
- In-depth knowledge of creating and maintaining kdb+ solutions
- Experience delivering technical solutions in unix/linux environment
- Demonstratable technical leadership and decision making
- Experience communicating and liaising with key stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills and capable of tailoring to the audience
- Desire to improve technically and maintain up to date with the latest advances
- Experience of working and delivering solutions in Capital Markets/Investment Banking
- Cloud architecture and development experience is a plus but not essential
- Minimum 2:1 Bachelor’s Degree in Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or any other scientific/engineering discipline
Experience and skills desired*:

- Experience of other programming languages e.g. Python
- Cloud development and architecture experience
- Experience of other data solutions, specifically Time Series Experience in an investment bank or large financial organisation
