The KBS Business Partnering Consultant works in KONE Business Services (KBS) to ensure measurable business value for KONE through effective stakeholder management of frontlines and area leadership. Supporting the KBS strategy, which in turn enables frontline and area strategy, the consultant ensures that service delivery not only meets performance expectations but also drives cost efficiency and business impact. The role reports to the KBS Business Partnering Manager APM.
The consultant acts as a key link between KBS Operational Teams and KBS Business Partnering Managers, ensuring performance is aligned with strategic goals, business targets, and financial outcomes. By combining strong service knowledge with financial awareness, the consultant contributes to sustainable performance for the respective Front Lines. This includes identifying cost drivers, monitoring the financial impact of joint priorities, and advising on operational improvements that deliver both service excellence and business value.
KBS Business Partnering Consultant closely cooperates with KBS Process Managers, KBS Heads and Leads across KBS.
Role Purpose
Build a data-driven finance capability by combining process knowledge (S2P/S2C/R2R) with analytics to drive insights, standardization, and efficiency across KBS operations.
The role transitions the intern from learning-focused execution → value-driven problem solving and decision support.
Key Responsibilities
1. Business & Process Analytics
- Analyze S2P, S2C, and R2R processes to identify inefficiencies, deviations, and improvement opportunities
- Use tools like Power BI, SQL, Celonis to assess process performance and compliance
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective actions
2. Insight Generation & Decision Support
- Convert data into actionable insights for operations and finance leaders
- Support business reviews with dashboards, trend analysis, and performance metrics
- Provide input for productivity, cost efficiency, and standardization initiatives
3. Dashboarding & Data Products
- Design, build, and maintain Power BI dashboards for key KPIs (cycle time, FTR, automation, etc.)
- Create scalable reporting frameworks across units
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and usability
4. Process Improvement & Transformation
- Identify automation and AI opportunities (e.g., Copilot, Bots, process mining insights)
- Support implementation of transformation initiatives across KBS
- Contribute to continuous improvement projects and business cases
5. Knowledge & Capability Building
- Develop training material, SOP enhancements, and process documentation
- Support onboarding and knowledge transfer initiatives
- Contribute to digital enablers like process assistants (e.g., S2P Buddy)
6. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with operations teams, finance controllers, and business partners
- Communicate insights clearly to both technical and business audiences
- Support governance calls with data-backed inputs
