OVERVIEW
We are seeking a self-motivated and curious Junior Trends Research & Insights to join our Creative and Strategy team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to gain practical experience in trend analysis, consumer insights, and market research within a fast-paced and collaborative environment, working with globally recognised brands.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Conduct research to identify emerging trends and changing consumer behaviors across sectors.
Creating retail analysis decks across multiple retail channels, including mass/discount, grocery/supermarkets, online/e-commerce, and specialty stores.
Gather and analyze data from various sources, including market reports, trend forecasting databases, social media, and other platforms.
Assist in the creation of trend reports and insight decks, highlighting key observations and recommendations for our wider team.
Organise and maintain our resource database, trend report library, and events calendar.
Assist with image research and building presentations.
Help produce competitor reviews, brand audits, and category overviews to identify potential opportunities and challenges for our brands and business.
Actively participate in creative brainstorming sessions.
Stay informed about current events, cultural shifts, and industry innovations that could impact both premium and mass-market channels.
REQUIREMENTS
Curious about understanding the “why” behind cultural shifts, consumer behaviors, and regional market nuances across both premium and mass-market retail sectors.
A strong interest in trends across categories including fashion, retail, food and beverage, luxury, and beauty. Knowledge of sports, gaming, technology, or automotive is also a plus.
Thorough research skills – able to sift through large volumes of information and carry out detailed, process-driven research and data collection efficiently, with the ability to assess source credibility and synthesize information from various sources.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities without compromising accuracy.
Global perspective.
Self-motivated and proactive.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex information in a clear and concise manner.
A creative thinker with the ability to generate new ideas and insights.
Knowledge of InDesign, Microsoft Office and Keynote a bonus.
