We are seeking a Junior Transactional Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team in Bedford, United Kingdom. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to develop their career in a fast-paced accounting environment. The successful candidate will support the transactional accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely processing of financial transactions whilst maintaining the highest standards of accuracy and professionalism.

• Process and record financial transactions accurately using accounting software and spreadsheet applications • Perform data entry tasks with meticulous attention to detail, ensuring all information is recorded correctly and promptly
• Assist with invoice processing, including verification, coding, and filing of supporting documentation
• Support bank reconciliation activities and investigate any discrepancies identified
• Maintain organised records and filing systems for transactional documents and correspondence
• Liaise with internal departments and external suppliers to resolve queries and obtain necessary information
• Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures as required
• Support the preparation of financial reports and statements under supervision
• Comply with all relevant accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of transactional accounting processes
• Act in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC staff at all times.

Skills & Experience Required

• Basic understanding of finance processes (AP or AR) – desirable but not essential.
• Good numerical accuracy and attention to detail.
• Competent in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
• Willingness to learn Oracle Fusion ERP (training provided).
• Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• Good communication skills.
