Why You Should Join Our Documentation Team:As a Junior Technical Writer at Sisense, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the user experience by creating clear, helpful documentation that makes a real difference. You’ll work closely with product and engineering teams, learn cutting-edge technologies, and develop your technical communication skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
What You’ll Be Doing:- Create and update product documentation, guides, and tutorials for users and developers.
- Learn about Sisense's architecture, cloud-native technologies, and modern development practices.
- Collaborate with Product, R&D, Support, and Customer Success teams to understand user needs.
- Help maintain and improve the quality, accuracy, and usability of our documentation.
- Some experience in technical writing, software documentation, or technical communication (internships, projects, or early work experience welcome).
- Ability to understand and explain technical concepts clearly and simply.
- Familiarity or basic knowledge of cloud environments, APIs, or software development concepts (e.g., REST, Git, JavaScript, or Docker — nice to have, not mandatory).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality content.
- Excellent English writing skills (native-level fluency preferred).
Eagerness to learn new technologies and work collaboratively in an agile team environment.
Nice to Have:
- Exposure to documentation tools (e.g., Flare), developer tools (e.g., Git, Markdown), and project management tools (e.g., Jira).
- Interest in business intelligence (BI) products or data-related technologies.
- Experience with creating video tutorials or multimedia content.
By Day 30:
- Get familiar with Sisense’s technology, product terminology, and user needs.
- Shadow team members and start contributing to small documentation updates.
By Day 60:
- Create and enhance product documentation with guidance from senior writers and team leads.
- Support the creation of tutorials, microcopy, and developer-focused materials.
By Day 90:
- Take ownership of documentation areas for assigned features.
- Suggest and implement improvements to the structure, clarity, and coverage of our knowledge base.
