About the Role

DLK Group is looking for a Junior Talent Acquisition Consultant to join our People and Culture team.

We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, is organised, follows through on what they commit to and wants to build a career in recruitment.

You will support recruitment across our internal vacancies, client requirements and tender opportunities. The role covers the full recruitment process, including sourcing candidates, screening applications, arranging interviews, preparing candidate submissions and supporting the handover into onboarding.

You will work closely with the Head of People and Culture and will have the opportunity to learn while gradually taking on more responsibility.

This role would suit someone who already has some exposure to recruitment and is now looking for an opportunity to build broader, practical experience.

What You Will Be Doing

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing allocated vacancies and recruitment requirements.
  • Advertising vacancies on PNet, LinkedIn, Zoho Recruit and other approved platforms.
  • Searching for suitable candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, our existing database and referrals.
  • Screening CVs and applications against the requirements of each role.
  • Conducting initial candidate screening discussions.
  • Coordinating interviews and assessments.
  • Keeping candidates informed throughout the recruitment process.
  • Building and maintaining candidate pipelines for current and future requirements.
  • Supporting recruitment for client projects and tender submissions.
  • Checking candidate qualifications, experience, availability and supporting documentation.
  • Preparing candidate submission packs and formatted CVs where required.
  • Supporting reference checks and offer administration.
  • Ensuring successful candidates are handed over correctly for onboarding.
  • Keeping recruitment information accurate and up to date in Zoho Recruit and other systems.
  • Preparing vacancy trackers and recruitment updates.
  • Following up on outstanding information and deadlines.
  • Looking for practical ways to improve the recruitment process and candidate experience.

Requirements

We would like to meet someone who:

  • Enjoys working with people and communicating with candidates.
  • Is organised and comfortable managing more than one priority at a time.
  • Takes ownership of their work and follows things through.
  • Pays attention to detail.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally.
  • Is comfortable asking questions when something is unclear.
  • Can work independently but knows when to ask for support.
  • Is interested in learning about different roles and industries.
  • Wants to grow their career in Talent Acquisition and People and Culture.
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric / Grade 12.
  • Around 1–2 years' experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, candidate sourcing or recruitment administration.
  • Relevant internship or graduate recruitment experience will also be considered.
  • Some exposure to recruitment systems, job boards or applicant tracking systems.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams.

A qualification in Human Resources, Psychology, Industrial or Organisational Psychology, Business Administration or a related field would be advantageous.

Advantageous Experience

It would be useful, but not essential, if you have worked with any of the following:

  • Zoho Recruit or Zoho People.
  • LinkedIn Recruiter.
  • PNet or similar job boards.
  • SharePoint.
  • ICT or technology recruitment.
  • Consulting or professional services environments.
  • Client recruitment requirements.
  • Tender or proposal resource sourcing.

Benefits

At DLK, we want to create a working environment that gives people the opportunity to learn, take ownership and grow while still offering some flexibility.

  • The role will initially be offered on a 3-month limited duration contract. This gives both you and DLK the opportunity to see whether the role, team and working environment are the right fit before considering a longer-term opportunity.
  • There is room to grow within Talent Acquisition and the wider People and Culture team for someone who shows strong capability, ownership and continued development.
  • You will gain practical exposure to the full recruitment process rather than only recruitment administration.
  • You will build experience in ICT and professional services recruitment.
  • You will work closely with the Head of People and Culture and receive support as you grow into the role.
  • The role is based at our Pinelands office.
  • We work in a hybrid environment, with selected Wednesdays available as work-from-home days.
  • Flexible working hours are available, with the option to work 08:00–16:30 or 08:30–17:00.
  • You will work with different areas of the business, including People and Culture, Client Engagement, Solutions Delivery, Finance and Operations.
  • You will gain hands-on experience using Zoho Recruit, LinkedIn, PNet and Microsoft 365.
  • You will be part of a small team where your work is visible and where you will have the opportunity to contribute ideas and take on more responsibility as you develop.
  • Remuneration is market-related and will be aligned to the experience and requirements of the role.
Why Join DLK?

This is a good opportunity for someone who wants to build practical recruitment experience and be involved in more than just administration.

You will have exposure to sourcing, screening, candidate engagement, client requirements, tender recruitment and the wider People and Culture environment.

If you enjoy working with people, take pride in your work and are looking for an opportunity to grow in Talent Acquisition, we would like to hear from you.
