About the Role
We are looking for a logical thinker with a keen eye for detail to join our Engineering team as a Junior Test Engineer. In this role, you will be a vital part of our team, ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
Your primary goal will be to support our Senior Test Engineer by taking ownership of manual verification tasks and helping to maintain our existing suite of automated tests. This is not a coding role; instead, you will use your problem-solving skills to test features and maintain tests using low-code tools.
Key Responsibilities
- Sprint Support & Verification: Collaborating with our development teams, you will manually test and verify tickets within the current sprint to ensure new features and fixes meet requirements.
- Test Maintenance (RainforestQA): You will help maintain our automated testing suite using RainforestQA (a no-code tool). Your focus will be on updating existing tests to match current features rather than writing code from scratch.
- Defect Management: You will collaborate with the development team to identify, classify, and help resolve defects found during testing.
- Documentation: Assist in developing and maintaining test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
- Agile Participation: Actively participate in our Agile development processes, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups.
Requirements
- Logical & Analytical: You are a strong logical thinker who enjoys solving puzzles and investigating how things work.
- Computer Literacy: You possess a competent level of general computer skills and are comfortable learning new software tools quickly. Familiarity with common workplace software, particularly the Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Detail Oriented: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Communication: Good communication and collaboration skills are essential, as you will work closely with developers and other team members.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to manage testing tasks effectively.
- Education: A degree in a relevant field is preferred, but we are open to candidates with equivalent experience or a strong portfolio of self-directed learning.
- Experience or familiarity with no-code/low-code testing tools (e.g., RainforestQA).
- Knowledge of Agile development processes, and issue tracking systems like JIRA or Asana.
- Prior experience in a QA or software testing role, particularly testing web applications.
- Demonstrable experience using Generative AI to create or review test cases, or a strong interest and self-directed learning in AI-driven testing approaches.
Benefits
- A supportive place to work with incredible teams worldwide.
- We are growing our team and expanding our platform, this is the chance to be part of that growth
- Attractive remuneration package.
- 100% paid private medical insurance.
- Monthly “all hands” and other team-building events.
- Competitive annual leave entitlement.
