What are we looking for?
We are seeking a Junior Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at IPID. This role is perfect for tech enthusiasts ready to kick-start their careers in software engineering. You'll work closely with experienced engineers, contributing to the development of innovative solutions. You will have the opportunity to learn best practices, participate in code reviews, and gain hands-on experience with various technologies.
This is a full-time position reporting to the Chief Technology Officer.
Core Responsibilities:
- Work collaboratively with the team to design, develop, test, and deploy software solutions
- Write automated tests that can be integrated with our CI/CD pipeline
- Assist in creating documentation for developed solutions, ensuring documentation is always up to date
- Troubleshoot and debug software issues and provide support to end-users
Write clear, maintainable, and testable code under the guidance of senior engineers
Key Requirements:
- 1 year working experience in software engineering; recent graduates will be considered
- Experience with Node.js or Go but proficiency in other programming languages is acceptable
- Strong analytical skills, creative, detail-oriented, and solid problem-solving skills
- Passion for software development and desire to learn new technologies
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as a reliable team player
- Authorization to work in Malaysia is mandatory; it is a hybrid position requiring you to be at least 3 days in the office
- Experience working in a globally distributed start-up or high-growth environment is a plus
