Principal Duties/Responsibilities:
· Develops an awareness of programming and design alternatives.
· Writes, translates, and codes software programs and applications according to specifications.
· Participates in the testing process through test review.
· Assists in troubleshooting and correcting problems/errors with current web applications.
· Assists in developing programs to increase operating efficiency or adapt to new requirements.
· Communicates with customers regarding design of new web pages or applications.
· Completes necessary administrative work to track, document, and demonstrate completion of activities.
· Participates and communicates effectively with team members.
· Develops understanding of computer and/or software operating systems and application interaction.
· Applies knowledge of programming techniques to perform above responsibilities.
· Continues to enhance skills through formal training and on-the-job instruction.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, & Behaviors Required:
· Associates’ degree in Computer Science or related field and 1 to 2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience to perform above duties and responsibilities.
Physical Demands and Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; use hands/fingers to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb, ascend/descend or balance to heights that may require a ladder or lift; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl in confined spaces; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds. The employee is regularly required to use close vision and color vision. The employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. Work is typically performed in a factory environment and is usually very loud. In the factory environment, the employee may be exposed to hazardous materials and/or greasy or slippery factory floors.
