As an Automation Software developer, you will contribute in developing and delivering one of the most successful line of products in the IP router market today: the 7750 SR internet router and its further evolution in Multi Access Gateway(MAG) and Data Center world.
The engineer will be responsible for Quality Assurance and automation-software development in Pytest/TCL based frameworks for Nokia's IP routing products. Job involves building expertise in features around L2/L3/MPLS/3gpp functionalities, Platform and QOS, hardware performance evaluation etc., with a strong emphasize on developing automation software, utilizing best coding practices in Python and similar languages.

Effectively, one would need to learn and participate in entire product software development cycle. Work closely with different groups within the organization including the Software and Hardware Development teams, Support team and Product Management team in order to drive the feature to completion (ready for GA release).
You have:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. Candidates with Bachelor´s in CS, EE, will be more relevant. Master’s degree is a plus.
- Good knowledge in CS fundamentals - Computer Architecture, Data Structures, Operating System concepts, Algorithm Analysis
- Exposure to Linux and programming languages (preferably scripting languages such as Python, Perl, TCL, shell)
- Proven aptitude for methodical problem solving, programming, good communication skills, strong attention to detail, and ability to work well in a close-knit team.
- Quick learner, self-starter, self-driven
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with networking test tools (IXIA, Spirent, IPerf, Wireshark, etc).
- Knowledge (and experience if possible) of CNF (Cloud-native Networking Function), VNF (Virtualized Networking Function), SDN, and related virtualization/cloud technologies (Containers, Kubernetes, OpenStack, KVM/QEMU, Xen, Vmware ESXi) is a big plus.
- Knowledge (and experience if possible) of routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, BGP) and/or signaling protocols (RSVP, LDP, Segment Routing)
