Role Overview:
 We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer I (SRE) to join a focused team responsible for maintaining and scaling high-throughput cybersecurity systems that process and store large volumes of data across both physical and cloud infrastructure. You’ll work closely with operations and development teams to ensure the systems you support are stable, secure, and observable. As part of a small SRE group, you'll work both independently and collaboratively to improve system reliability, automation, and performance. This hands-on role is ideal for candidates eager to grow, take initiative, and solve real-world problems. Your contributions will directly support the reliability and security of services relied on by enterprise customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in maintaining and supporting physical and cloud infrastructure (AWS, on-prem systems) 
  • Participate in the team’s on-call rotation and assist with after-hours maintenance events 
  • Support observability systems (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana) and contribute to operational visibility 
  • Write and maintain automation scripts and support tools 
  • Troubleshoot production issues and escalate as needed 
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on automation, deployment, and infrastructure support using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Docker 
  • Maintain and improve documentation, runbooks, and operational guides 
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of system stability and support processes 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience 
  • Some hands-on experience in Linux systems, IT operations, or DevOps/SRE-adjacent role 
  • Strong understanding of Linux fundamentals, networking basics, and system troubleshooting 
  • Ability to write basic scripts in Bash, Python, or a similar language 
  • Familiarity with AWS environments or equivalent cloud experience (academic or practical) 
  • Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and handle live system support 
  • Strong communication skills, a proactive mindset, and a willingness to take ownership of issues and escalate responsibly 
  • Eagerness to learn and grow in a production operations environment 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Basic knowledge of observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Datadog) 
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker(exposure to Kubernetes a plus) 
  • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) 
  • Experience using Git and CI/CD pipelines 
  • Awareness of networking concepts, firewall management, and enterprise infrastructure 
  • Experience with physical infrastructure and remote data center operations
