Coordinate Substitute Placement 

Work closely with Site Liaison and Teaching Fellow site staff to understand daily tutoring needs. Maintain a schedule of tutoring assignments, including information on subjects, grade levels, and specific requirements. Identify and assign qualified substitute tutors based on subject expertise, grade level proficiency, and specific school requirements. Ensure timely communication with substitutes regarding assignment details, location, and any special instructions. Establish effective communication channels with substitute tutors, providing clear instructions and addressing any queries. Maintain accurate records of substitute tutor assignments, including feedback from schools and tutors. (Performs Approximately 40% of day)

Recruitment, Interviewing, and Hiring

Regularly review the Human Resource Information System (HRIS)  for job applicants assigned to your region. Schedule initial interviews of job applicants for placement consideration at assigned after school program sites. Support Site Liaisons in hiring decisions from qualified job candidates and facilitate the placement of new hires.  (Performs Approximately 30% of day)

Payroll  Support

Help Site Liaison with Teaching Fellow timesheet follow-up and approval process. Support in the punch change request process. Provide support to Site Liaisons by submitting and/or reviewing employee's personal action forms to make changes on promotion, demotion, and job reassignment. (Performs Approximately 25% of day)

Perform Other Duties as Assigned.

Follows direction set by the program director.  Offer opinions and recommendations of proposed actions and decisions that could enhance program efficiency and operations.  Attend staff meetings. Perform other duties as assigned. (Performs Approximately 5% of day)

Qualifications

A minimum of a four (4) year college degree in business management or administration is highly preferred and/or prefer 3 to 5 years of direct related work experience, including work with non-profit organizations in an educational setting; strong demonstration of experience working with children in the field of youth development and community service; must possess a California Class C driver’s license in good standing; possess a genuine desire to see youth aspire in their educational accomplishments and goals; be able to communicate in and understand the English language with knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; must be able to demonstrate exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; be able to lead and motivate groups and individuals; be able to think creatively and strategically; successfully mediate and negotiate with individuals and groups internally and externally; possess strong project management skills and be able to balance competing priorities, complex situations, and tight deadlines; and possess excellent skills in word processing, working with databases, and using Google Suite products, such as Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms, Calendar, and Gmail. The position requires proven leadership skills, a general understanding of human resources management and business operations.  Must possess high business ethical and moral standards, attributes of honesty and trustworthiness, respectful and sensitivity of others, cultural awareness, flexibility, and sound work ethic.  Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment; multi-task various assignments given; and be able to meet set job-related goals, objectives, and timelines.

Skills Required
