ShipServ is seeking a driven and results-oriented Sales Executive to grow our customer base and revenue. The role focuses on identifying new business opportunities, building strong and lasting client relationships, and consistently achieving sales targets. The successful candidate will play a key role in expanding ShipServ’s presence within the maritime industry by delivering value-driven solutions to maritime suppliers.
Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to grow revenue and expand ShipServ’s customer base, by proactively sourcing leads through cold calling, networking, referrals, and market research.
- Maintain professional interactions with prospects to support qualification and handover to senior sales roles.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend appropriate solutions using established product offerings, pricing structures, and sales playbooks to drive customer satisfaction and deal conversion, by aligning ShipServ’s products and services with customer business goals.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations, proposals, and quotations to win new business, by clearly articulating value propositions, pricing, and commercial benefits.
- Apply predefined scripts, pricing guidelines, and sales materials and escalate non-standard customer requests to the Sales Manager or Sales Ops.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline data to support business planning and decision-making, by updating CRM systems and reporting on sales activities and performance.
- Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, customer success, and product) to improve customer outcomes and sales effectiveness, by sharing market feedback and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field, MBA preferred.
- Relevant professional sales training or certifications are an advantage.
- 3-5 years of proven experience in sales, business development, or a customer-facing commercial role.
- Experience in the maritime or shipping industry within Sales, Business Development, or Procurement is preferred.
- Requires foundational sales or customer service experience; focus on learning sales processes, CRM usage, and product fundamentals
- Proven experience as a Sales Executive or in a similar commercial role.
- Professional communication and relationship-management skills to support sales conversations and opportunity progression.
- Results-driven, self-motivated, and comfortable working with targets and KPIs.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent time management, prioritization, and organizational skills.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret customer data and market insights.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and CRM systems.
- Experience using CRM platforms for pipeline management and reporting.
- Familiarity with virtual meeting and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams, Zoom).
- Exposure to data analysis tools and reporting dashboards is an advantage.
