This Position reports to:
Team Leader Product Engineer
Your role and responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to support the strategic technology direction by contributing your own ideas for identifying, proposing, and implementing innovative technology, software and solutions. Each day, you will assist the Quality & Reliability (Q&R) team by executing your assigned tasks and using technical knowledge in a structured way. You will also showcase your expertise by staying abreast of the state of the art and actively applying this knowledge.
The work model for the role is: hybrid #LI-hybrid
This role is contributing to the Motion High Power / Medium Voltage Drives in Aleksandrow Lodzki, Poland. Main stakeholder is the Medium Voltage System Drives Business Line.
You will be mainly accountable for:
Analyzing failed parts and subsystems to identify the point of failure.
Analyzing data to prove or disprove the failure hypothesis and uncover the root cause.
Monitoring factory non-conformities and following-up on improvement actions to verify their effectiveness.
Collaborating with local and global ABB experts, component manufacturers, external laboratories and universities.
Qualifications for the role
M.Sc. in electrical engineering or a related field.
Prior work experience in electrical design, quality & reliability, failure analysis or electrical testing functions.
Experience in the field of power electronics will be beneficial along with hands-on experience testing electric circuits or PCBAs will be an asset.
Problem-solving skills, and experience in conducting failure analysis and working with data analysis to take initiative and coordinate own and stakeholders’ work.
Building, maintaining and effectively utilizing Power BI statistics is considered beneficial for the role.
Good command of English.
