SUMMARY
The Junior QA Automation Engineer is responsible for supporting the QA team by executing defined test cases and learning the fundamentals of Common Criteria compliant security testing. This entry-level role involves debugging software products through systematic tests and maintaining documentation of test results to assist in the modification of software.
THE POSITION
We are looking for a Junior QA Automation Engineer to launch their career in high-security technology. Working under the mentorship of senior experts, you will assist in the execution of platform-level testing and contribute to existing test code bases. You will ensure quality computer integration into the overall functions of our security products.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Execute Tests: Debug software products by executing specific security test plans and monitoring automated scripts as defined by senior team members.
- Maintain Documentation: Maintain documentation of test results and assist in preparing technical appraisals to support approval authorities.
- Support & Learn: Consult with development engineers and senior QA to learn Common Criteria standards and assist in the resolution of problems.
- Contribute to Code: Write simple scripts and contribute to existing test code bases using established patterns, utilizing AI tools to assist in writing basic code snippets.
- Collaboration: Participate in stand-ups and communicate status updates clearly to the team.
REQUIRED TECHNICAL AND PROFESSIONAL EXPERTISE
- Experience: 0–2 years (Junior level coding experience or relevant degree).
- Skills: Familiarity with Python, Java, or Kotlin. Exposure to testing concepts.
- Mindset: Eager to learn, able to follow technical instructions, and interested in security.
- Language: Fluent English is mandatory; German is helpful.
