INEOS has an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dynamic Junior Product Manager with strong marketing skills to join our INEOS Composites business at our Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona) office.

Reporting to the Composites EMEA Commercial Director, the Junior Product Manager will support experienced product managers in increasing the profitability of our existing products as well as in the development of new products. You will assist in conducting market research, gathering and analysing market and customer feedback, defining product requirements and coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure our products meet market demands and exceed customer expectations. Your marketing expertise will be essential in crafting effective strategies to promote our products and engage our target audience. You will also handle specific projects, learning the foundations of product management under the guidance of experienced product managers.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Assist in the development and execution of product strategies and roadmaps to ensure the product aligns with market needs and organizational goals.
  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to understand customer needs and identify trends and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with sales, technology and manufacturing to ensure product alignment with market needs.
  • Contribute to the product development process, including defining requirements, prioritizing features, and managing timelines.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns to promote product launches and drive adoption.
  • Create compelling product content, including website copy, blog posts, social media updates, and email newsletters.
  • Monitor and analyse market/product performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.
  • Gather and incorporate customer feedback into product improvements and enhancements.

In order to be qualified for this role, you must possess the following:


Level of education & Experience in general

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing and/or other technical related degrees (MBA preferred).
  • Good understanding of the Chemical Industry, preferably with experience in product management, business management and/or business development.
  • Strong understanding of product development processes and marketing strategies/plans.
  • Proficiency in market research and data analysis.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and platforms.

Technical skills

  • Project management skills
  • Digital marketing capabilities
  • Fluency in English and other European languages would be a plus
  • Microsoft 365 (advanced Excel skills) and SAP
  • Willingness to Travel (customers – INEOS Composites plants (10-20% of time)
