The Role
Own the fiscalization, tax, and commission calculation domains within a fintech platform. Translate regulatory and finance requirements into product requirements, acceptance criteria, roadmaps, and delivery plans. Coordinate Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Fintech teams; monitor production reliability; investigate incidents; and improve calculation accuracy, receipt issuance, compliance, and reconciliation efficiency. The role requires leading delivery without formal authority and meeting statutory deadlines across multiple countries.
Summary Generated by Built In
We’re looking for a Junior Product Manager to join our Money Calculation Team and help ensure accurate commission calculations, reliable fiscalization, and timely delivery of tax requirements across our markets. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Finance, Legal, and Fintech teams to improve platform stability, efficiency, and time to market.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the fiscalization and tax domain within the Money Calculation platform: e-invoicing, fiscal receipts, VAT and withholding rules, and gig-worker social contributions across the countries where the company operates.
  • Deliver new country tax and fiscalization requirements end-to-end — from regulatory requirement to live implementation — sequencing work against statutory deadlines. Manage receipt issuance: ensure receipts and fiscal documents are generated, delivered, and accepted by tax authorities correctly, and drive down failure and rejection rates.
  • Own the commission calculation service from the product side, including its technical health: correct debiting from the driver's pre-funded balance, consistency between calculated and collected commission, and reliable behavior at scale.
  • Translate regulatory and finance requirements into precise product requirements and acceptance criteria. Collect and prioritize requirements from internal stakeholders (Finance, Legal, Fintech squads, regional business units), balancing regulatory obligation against technical capacity.
  • Maintain the team's roadmap and backlog, keeping delivery dates aligned with legal deadlines and communicating risk early when they are at risk. Lead the development team's day-to-day delivery without formal authority: run planning and prioritization, keep work unblocked, and hold quality on implementation.
  • Coordinate integration of the calculation and fiscalization layer with adjacent systems — payments and processing, driver balance, reporting, and financial accounting. Monitor the service in production, investigate calculation and receipt incidents, and drive them to resolution with engineering.
  • Analyze existing processes and propose improvements that reduce manual corrections, recalculations, and finance-side reconciliation effort.
Goals and Metrics
  • Regulatory Delivery: Deliver country tax and fiscalization requirements before statutory deadlines (metric: % of regulatory launches delivered on or before the legal deadline; compliance incidents = 0).
  • Receipt Reliability: Ensure fiscal documents are issued and accepted correctly (metric: receipt issuance success rate; rejection rate by tax authority).
  • Calculation Accuracy: Ensure commissions are computed and charged correctly.
  • Stability: Maintain high availability and performance of the calculation service under peak order volume (metric: uptime > 99.9%; incident count and time to resolution).
  • Time to Market: Reduce the time needed to configure a new country tax rule or fiscalization regime (metric: time to implement a new calculation or tax rule).
  • Operational Efficiency: Reduce finance-side effort spent on reconciliation and recalculation (metric: manual finance interventions per period).
  • User Satisfaction: Improve the NPS of internal platform users (Finance, Legal, Fintech squads, verticals).

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Must have
  • 1+ year of experience in a product, business analyst, project management, or operations role — ideally in fintech, billing, accounting, or a regulated environment. Strong candidates from analytics or finance backgrounds moving into product are welcome.
  • Interest in and basic understanding of fintech mechanics: commissions, take rate, payment flows, billing and settlement logic. Deep expertise is not expected — the willingness to learn the domain quickly and rigorously is.
  • Comfort working with regulatory and legal texts, and with translating them into concrete product requirements together with Legal and Finance.
  • Ability to write clear product requirements and acceptance criteria, and to hold the team to them.
  • Working knowledge of product management tools (Jira, Confluence, Miro).
  • Analytical skills and the ability to validate outcomes independently with data (SQL/Tableau, or readiness to learn them quickly).
  • Comfort working with engineers on a technically owned service — understanding integrations, incidents, and system constraints well enough to prioritize and make trade-offs.
  • Strong attention to detail and rigor: in this domain errors are financially material and externally visible to tax authorities.
  • Ability to lead a team without formal authority — organizing delivery, building alignment, and keeping people motivated and unblocked.
  • Clear communication with non-product stakeholders, including finance controllers and legal counsel.
  • Ownership and accountability: escalating early, driving problems to resolution rather than handing them off.
  • Flexibility and the ability to adapt quickly to regulatory and business changes.
  • Growth mindset — actively seeks feedback and acts on it.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) — the working language for documentation, cross-team communication, and stakeholders outside the CIS.
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, economics, finance, management, or related fields.
Nice to have
  • Relevant certifications (CSPO, PSPO, or similar) are a plus.
