Job Description:
Discover will not sponsor or transfer employment work visas for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
The Junior Product Manager is responsible for managing the strategy, roadmap, and goals for Digital Payments Core Technologies supporting Digital Payments Products. This includes partnering with the client-facing product managers and product owners to evaluate existing and desired capabilities, assess commonalities, and create strategic initiatives to build multi-tenant technologies that will be leveraged by Digital Product Families to satisfy partner expectations. This includes network capabilities such as tokenization, de-tokenization, cryptograms, and token lookup services.
Assesses the performance of and shapes the structure and direction of new and existing product lines and develops or assists in developing and executing strategic product plans for key initiatives such as the introduction of new products, product line extensions, or product enhancements. Assist the team in achieving specific goals for each product, including evaluating product performance, and identifying innovations to address customer needs and improve product performance in the market. Actively manages and escalates risk and customer-impacting issues within the day-to-day role to management.
Responsibilities

  • Identify sources, monitor, analyze, and interpret key product performance metrics including financials, network volumes, other key statistics, and internal/external customer feedback trends, then develop and communicate findings, suggests and recommends performance improvements to support data driven business decisions.
  • Partners with vendors and/or cross-functional internal teams such as Sales, Operations, Legal, Marketing, Finance, Technology in the evaluation, development, management, and/or enhancement of assigned products and/or programs.
  • Manages and communicates scope, deliverables, timelines of projects and/or plans within pre-set budgets.
  • Participates in Agile sprints, planning, and executions.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to develop or support sales efforts or go-to-market strategies.


Minimum Qualifications
At a minimum, here's what we need from you:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, Business Administration and Management, or related field
  • 4+ years of experience in Product Management, Product Delivery/Commercialization, Project Management, Payments Industry, Financial Services, Marketing, or related
  • In lieu of a degree, 8+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, or related including Product Management Experience


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Social Sciences, Information Technology, Communications, Marketing, or Business Administration and Management
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile methodology
  • 2+ years of experience in Card payments, network, acquiring, issuing, mobile technologies, digital payments, financial services or related
  • Experience in Core Payments, Fintech, Payments, or Financial Product Development
  • Experience collaborating with internal stakeholders, including C-Suite
  • Ability to pivot to new priorities in a fast-paced market
  • Strong thought leadership/problem solving skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, influence key stakeholders, and work across a matrixed environment

Compensation:
The base pay for this position generally ranges between $75,500.00 to $127,900.00. Additional incentives may be provided as part of a market competitive total compensation package. Factors, such as but not limited to, geographical location, relevant experience, education, and skill level may impact the pay for this position.
