What does your job as a Junior Product Manager look like?
In this role, you will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution, while continuously developing your skills:
- You support the team in developing and optimizing products and services for small businesses and self-employed clients.
- You contribute to the full product development lifecycle, from concept, policy wording and governance to launch preparation, working closely with different internal stakeholders.
- You monitor market trends and developments and, together with more experienced colleagues, translate these into new product ideas.
- You contribute to defining the positioning of our product offering in the market and across our distribution channels.
- You analyze market data, customer insights and the needs of distribution partners to support well-founded decisions.
- You help monitor the profitability of our products and contribute ideas for improvements.
- You gradually build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and learn how to position our products effectively.
This is how you perfectly fit into the team
- You have a solid foundational knowledge of business insurance (such as Property, Motor, Liability, Business Interruption, Accident and Electronics), or you are eager to develop this expertise further
- You preferably have a first experience (around 2 years) in product management or a related role within an insurance company or broker. Experience as an underwriting assistant or underwriter within this segment is considered an asset
- You combine analytical thinking with a customer-focused mindset and take initiative when you identify opportunities
- You communicate clearly and enjoy working with a variety of stakeholders
- You are fluent in Dutch and have a good working knowledge of French and English
- You are eager to learn, a team player and open to new ideas and change
- You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree (preferably in an economic or legal field) or equivalent experience
