Position Summary:
Under general and specific supervision, the Pricing Analyst will prepare financial analyses to support pricing strategies with current and future clients of the firm to maximize profitability.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Analyze profitability and pricing trends of current and historical clients in an effort to enhance future performance
- Model various fee scenarios in support of rate negotiations, RFPs, and alternate fee arrangement requests
- Support the creation and monitoring of matter level budgets and estimates to completion
- Prepare and consolidate monthly profitability reporting by partner, practice and client
- Participate in the design, development, implementation and maintenance of pricing and profitability related tools and software
- Other special projects or ad-hoc requests as needed
Qualifications:
Education: College Degree; B.S. in Finance or Accounting preferred
Experience: 0-1 years of related work experience; professional services environment a plus, but law firm experience not required
Skills & Abilities: Must possess effective written and verbal communication skills; numerical aptitude, professionalism and integrity. Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret data and add narrative. Strong excel skills including comfort level working with large data sets, pivot tables, v-look ups, templates and models, etc. Experience with Power BI or another similar database tool a plus but not required.
