What this role is all about

As a Voice Engineer in our Platform Operations team, you will play a key role in ensuring reliable, high-quality voice communications across our global omni-channel platform. You will work with VoIP technologies (SIP, SDP, RTP, SBC, CDRs) to monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize our voice services used by customers worldwide.

You will be part of a global team that supports Infobip’s leadership in VoIP and voice communication by maintaining service stability, improving quality, and contributing to innovation and security. In this role, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve complex voice-related issues, enhance tools and systems, and continuously improve the end-user experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer who is passionate about telecommunications and eager to grow in a high-impact, customer-centric technical role. You will be encouraged to continuously learn, attend development sessions, and stay current with evolving voice technologies and best practices.

What you'll do

  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues related to voice calls and VoIP protocols (SIP, SDP, RTP).
  • Handle support requests from global customers and internal teams, ensuring timely and high-quality resolution.
  • Work with SIP trunks and SBC infrastructure to integrate, migrate, and maintain VoIP connections.
  • Use call detail records (CDRs) and monitoring tools to analyze call quality, identify patterns, and drive improvements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g., Product, Engineering, Customer Success, Partners) to ensure seamless end-to-end voice experiences.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of tools and systems used for monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting VoIP services.
  • Stay up to date with new voice technologies, standards, and best practices, and share knowledge within the team.

What makes you a strong fit

  • Advanced level of English, both spoken and written.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive, detail-oriented mindset, with a strong sense of ownership in resolving issues.
  • Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret technical data, logs, and CDRs.
  • Intermediate level of Excel (e.g., using formulas, filters, and pivot tables to analyze data).
  • Around 1 year of experience in the Telco or VoIP industry is a plus. Familiarity with SBC (Session Border Controller) architecture and general VoIP infrastructure is an advantage.
