Position Overview
You will join the Data Science & Engineering (DSE) team in Zurich, a small, entrepreneurial team that builds and operates most of its technology in-house, including the tools used by our investment professionals. Although the team is small, it carries significant responsibility; what we build is used every day. The role is primarily focused on DevOps and platform engineering, with occasional software development responsibilities.
Essential Job Functions
- Automate and maintain software delivery processes.
- Build and maintain testing and development environments.
- Develop and support CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions.
- Work with cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure.
- Support application hosting across Azure App Services and Kubernetes.
- Work with containerised applications.
- Maintain infrastructure and support general platform upkeep.
- Support the wider team with software engineering and database tasks as needed.
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field. Master's degree is a plus.
- 0 to 2 years' experience; recent graduates and candidates with internship or university-project experience welcome.
- Interest in DevOps and platform engineering: cloud, automation, infrastructure, and CI/CD.
- Familiarity with some of the following: C# / .NET, Python, Microsoft Azure, GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes.
