TOTEME was founded in 2014 by Elin Kling and Karl Lindman. From the atelier in Stockholm, we create women’s and men’s collections spanning ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, and jewelry.

The Role

TOTEME is looking for a Junior People Operations Specialist to join our team in New York full-time. In this role, you will support our growing organization across the Americas with day-to-day People operations, including payroll, HR administration, compliance, recruitment, onboarding and offboarding. You will report to the Chief People & Culture Officer and have a dotted line to the SVP North America. You will work directly with the Global People & Culture Team, as well as with our local managers.

Responsibilities

• Administer payroll, including salaries and commissions for employees and contractors.

• Manage HR administration in Justworks and act as the main point of contact for the platform.

• Support compliance and labor law-related matters, including employee handbooks, minimum wage requirements, required workplace postings and work environment matters.

• Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including contracts, HR systems, benefits, 401(k), background checks, payroll administration and exit interviews.

• Support recruitment for Retail Managers and first-line Office managers, including job postings, screening, initial video interviews and interview coordination.

• Act as the first point of contact for US employees on day-to-day People & Culture questions.

• Support the implementation and documentation of People processes and ways of working across North America

• Coordinate Performance Management processes in North America in collaboration with the global People & Culture Team and relevant internal stakeholders.

• Support Office-related operational tasks when needed.

• Participate in and contribute to TOTEME’s social and environmental sustainability strategy.

Your Profile

• A couple of years of broad HR experience, including hands-on experience with recruitment and payroll administration.

• A relevant degree in Human Resources or a related field.

• Experience working across multiple US states and/or countries is considered a plus.

• Experience within retail is considered a plus.

• Fluent in spoken and written English, with the right to work in the US and the ability to travel when required.

This is a full-time position based at TOTEME's New York office.
The annual salary for this role ranges between $70.000-75.000 and will be set according to the applicant’s profile, skills and previous experience.
TOTEME has teams in Stockholm, London, New York, and Shanghai, as well as retail spaces across Europe, North America, and Asia.
