ABOUT THE ROLE

This is an excellent entry point into financial operations for someone who thrives in structured, process-driven environments and wants to build a broad foundation across payments, client money reconciliation, third-party management, and compliance support.

You'll sit within the Operations team and work closely with other departments to keep daily functions running accurately and on time. This role touches almost every part of the operations function making it a great launchpad for a career in financial services.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Payments & Operations

  • Process client withdrawal transactions through banking and payments providers accurately and on time.

  • Review and action daily payment instructions, adjustment files, and settlement related tasks.

  • Monitor multi-currency payment platform balances, ensuring adequate funding and flagging anomalies.

  • Investigate unallocated bank deposit queues and items flagged as failed or pending.

  • Identify opportunities to automate or streamline operational workflows and contribute to ongoing process improvement.

Reconciliation

  • Review daily reconciliation reports and perform AU reconciliation checks; confirming received files and verifying settlement postings.

  • Maintain internal documentation in line with regulatory requirements and audit standards.

  • Support custodian settlement tasks, ensuring accurate and timely processing.

Transaction Monitoring & Compliance Support

  • Review & investigate bank transfer reports, identifying and escalating foreign transactions or bank account activity to the Compliance team.

  • Maintain documentation and provide remediation steps when required.

  • Monitor the support tickets and maintain CRM systems, ensuring that client-facing queries are resolved promptly in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Corporate Actions & Dealing Support

  • Support post-trade operations across the full trade life cycle.

  • Assist with corporate action processing and reconciliation.

  • Review manually booked trades (e.g. stock splits, share transfers) and escalate discrepancies to the Dealing team.

  • Monitor internal systems and report any issues affecting smooth operations.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Essential

  • 1–2 years' experience in financial operations, back-office, payments, or a related FinTech or finance role (graduate or internship experience considered).

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow structured daily procedures accurately under time pressure.

  • Comfortable working across multiple systems, spreadsheets, and data reconciliation tasks simultaneously.

  • Clear communicator with the confidence to escalate issues promptly and professionally.

  • Organised, self-starting, and able to manage competing priorities within a structured daily workflow.

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional qualification.

Desirable but not essential

  • Payment platforms
