We are seeking a Junior Network Engineer to join the team responsible for developing and supporting the network infrastructure of the FxPro group of companies.
Our network team is responsible for the stability, performance, and security of a globally distributed hybrid network infrastructure spanning several branches, multiple data centers, and integrated with Azure, AWS, and Alibaba Cloud.

In this role, you will be a part of the team that ensures a reliable and resilient network that provides access to our applications used by thousands of users every day, while also developing and maintaining stable and secure enterprise network services for hundreds of colleagues worldwide.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Level 2 (L2) troubleshooting of networking-related user issues, including basic and advanced connectivity problems related to VPN, IP telephony, Wi-Fi and general network access.
• Configure and maintain network services for end users.
• Install, decommission, and maintain network and related hardware equipment in server racks.
• Perform equipment switching, structured cabling, and physical infrastructure maintenance.
• Monitor network performance and assist in incident response and resolution.
• Perform software and firmware upgrades on network devices and related systems.
• Communicate with Internet Service Providers (ISPs), telecom operators, and other vendors, including creating and managing support tickets.
• Create, update, and maintain comprehensive technical documentation reflecting current network architecture, configurations, implemented changes, and completed works.
• Assist in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and optimization initiatives.
• Support and troubleshoot VoIP applications and services on the user side.

Requirements:

• Higher technical education (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in Information Technology, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals at Cisco CCNA level (certification is not required, but will be considered as an advantage).
• Basic knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, including VLAN, Dynamic routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, EIGRP), LACP, STP/RSTP, NAT, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, Access Control Lists (ACLs)
• Understanding of VPN technologies and IP telephony.
  
• Understanding of network connectivity troubleshooting principles.
  
• English language proficiency at Intermediate level (B2). Proficiency in Greek is considered an advantage.
  
• This role requires periodic work during weekends and outside standard working hours.
