Position Overview:
We’re looking for a curious, driven Junior Software Engineer with a strong interest in artificial intelligence and a desire to apply modern AI solutions to real-world retail challenges. This role is ideal for someone early in their AI journey—you don’t need deep expertise, just a willingness to learn, experiment, and continuously grow.
You’ll collaborate closely with a supportive team of experienced engineers and AI specialists, gaining hands-on experience while contributing to meaningful, innovative work.
Responsibilities- Build a foundational understanding of software development engineering concepts, practices, and methodologies within retail-focused applications.
- With guidance, contribute to core engineering tasks such as setting up, configuring, and administering applications, servers, and web services, as well as supporting automated deployments.
- Develop and maintain foundational components, including basic AI features, data pipelines, and AI-driven solutions following established coding standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with production teams to address issues related to application design, deployment, and operational performance.
- Assist in deploying, maintaining, and scaling web applications to ensure reliability and efficiency.
- Learn and apply industry-standard AI/ML practices, responsible AI principles, and internal guidelines to build effective retail solutions.
- Troubleshoot and debug applications, servers, and web functionalities to ensure smooth system performance.
- Actively seek and apply feedback from senior engineers, demonstrating a growth mindset and commitment to continuous learning.
Required Qualifications:
- Diploma or equivalent practical experience in Software Development Engineering (C#).
- 0–2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience.
- Proficiency in business-level English, both written and spoken.
- Familiarity with version control systems, preferably Git, and collaborative development workflows.
Nice to have:
- Familiarity with DevOps/CI/CD practices and tools such as Jenkins.
- Interest in retail technology, e-commerce, or customer experience innovation.
- Exposure to machine learning, data analysis, or AI through coursework or personal projects.
- Basic knowledge of RabbitMQ, Redis, CouchDB
- Basic knowledge of cloud services.
Pay Transparency Statement
The monthly base salary range for this position is 6,900.00 PLN gross to 9,900.00 PLN gross.
Actual compensation will depend on factors such as qualifications, skills, competencies, geographic location, and relevant experience. Certain roles may include additional components beyond base salary, such as incentive opportunities or other forms of variable compensation. Details of any such components will be discussed during the interview process and will be governed by the applicable plan documents.
