Within a technology department supporting digital control and signalling systems, the organisation is seeking a trilingual Business Analyst with practical experience in microservices and API‑driven environments. The consultant will work in an Agile/Scrum team and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, ICT coordinators, product owners and architects.
Job DescriptionRole & Responsibilities
Functional Analysis & User Stories
- Analyse assigned tools or modules and translate business needs into clear, structured user stories.
- Collaborate with key users to refine requirements and understand operational impacts.
Process Adaptation & Implementation Follow‑up
- Analyse business process adaptations resulting from new tools or new versions.
- Track implementation of these changes in close collaboration with the Product Owner, Project Lead and ICT coordinator.
Microservices / API Project Contributions
- Maintain and update functional and business documentation such as:
- Information models
- User stories
- Process flows
- Contribute to the evolution and integration of microservice‑based and API‑driven toolchains.
- Align with enterprise architecture guidelines and the long‑term roadmap.
- Proactively propose roadmap updates based on new business insights.
Cross‑team Collaboration & Integration
- Strengthen functional integration between microservices and interconnected tools.
- Collaborate with analysts from parallel initiatives to ensure coherence across toolchains.
Quality & Safety Standards
Operate within environments governed by strict standards, including:
- Quality (ISO 9001)
- Signalling‑related standards
- Security (ISO 27001 – NIS)
A medior Business Analyst with Agile/Scrum experience and involvement in microservices or API‑based projects.
- Strong user‑centric and quality‑focused mindset
- Excellent communication and structured thinking
- Ability to thrive in multicultural teams
- Initiative, proactivity and willingness to share knowledge
Technical Skills (Required)
Languages
- French – B2
- Dutch – C1
- English – C1
Core Competencies
- ≥ 2 years as a Business Analyst
- ≥ 2 years in Functional Analysis
- Experience with:
- Jira, Confluence, Miro (≥ 2 years)
- Figma (≥ 2 years)
- Balsamiq (at least one project)
- Enterprise Architect (at least one project)
- Knowledge of:
- BPMN & UML (≥ 2 years)
- APIs, data flows, Swagger (≥ 1 project)
- Java / Angular / microservices environments (in an analyst role)
- Understanding of quality and safety standards
- A basic business analysis certification is a plus
Soft Skills Requirements
- Strong understanding of mission‑critical IT environments
- Ability to demonstrate values such as kindness, courage, positivity and reliability
- Strong presentation, communication and stakeholder management skills
- Professional attitude, respect for governance, and willingness to commit to the full contract duration
