Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated Junior Mechanical Integration Engineer who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks in Engineering Department. The position is based in PISTOIA - IT

Accountabilities
- Carry out 3D mechanical integration analysis of all the different train components with creation of dedicated reports
- Management and development of mechanical systems through the SRD, supplier onboarding and codesign process
- Management of full train digital mock in 3D cad software.
- Development of tolerances stack up analysis and management plan to guarantee correct component mechanical integration on the train
- Creation of full train assembly drawings for train manufacturing
- Design of mechanical components such as welded frames or bracketry for the overall systems integration
Competencies (optional)
- 3D CAD software knowledge, especially Creo, Catia and Autodesk
- Knowledge of DOORS for requirement management
- Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Required Skills/ Knowledge
- Being able to be autonomous in short time
- Capability of working with fast-changing priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong team working attitude and ability to collaborate with international colleagues and senior design experts
Desired Skills/ Knowledge
- General knowledge of railway vehicles working principles
- Passionate about railway industry
- Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for rail vehicle design
- Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations
- Availability for short-term national and international business trips is preferred
Education/Qualifications
- Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent technical background
Languages (optional)
- Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory. English language knowledge on at least international B2 level
