We are looking for a Mechanical Engineer to add their skills to our team supporting sustainment efforts for the Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) weapon system. This is an exciting and dynamic job opportunity where you'll not only work on an important project, but help advance the United States military's global strike deterrent system.
The qualified candidate selected for this role will work closely with the customer, the United States Air Force (USAF), to apply engineering principles and best practices to optimize Weapon System operational service and performance.
In this job, the selected candidate will:
- Provide engineering Integration Support between the USAF and the Minuteman III Guidance Subsystem Support Contractor.
- Perform professional technical work that requires in-depth knowledge and diversified application of mechanical engineering principles, theories, concepts, practices and techniques.
- Identify or evaluate needed or proposed modifications and/or replacements for Weapon System components.
- Prepare review packages, present data to both internal and external customers, and provide feedback to improve processes and work to meet engineering objectives.
- Support the modernization of Guidance Subsystem support equipment by performing engineering analysis, research, and technical document reviews.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Eligible candidates must be able to acquire a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite; a current clearance is helpful, but not required).
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- College-level courses or similar experience in: Strength of Materials, Mechanical Design, Thermodynamics, Fluid Mechanics, Stress Analysis, Finite Element Analysis, and Mechanical Vibrations.
- Education or experience with inertial navigation systems.
- Familiarity or experience with Air Force Systems Engineering processes.
- Proficiency in MATLAB, Simulink, SolidWorks, Ansys, Python, and/or SysML.
- Familiarity with military technology and technical data.
- Demonstrated technical writing and presentation skills.
- Able to work independently, demonstrate strong initiative, and organize daily tasks with minimal supervision.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written) as well as the ability to interact with team members, and clients.
- Current U.S. Government Secret or Top Secre clearance is a plus.
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $59023 - $100339

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
