Our Hardware Design Group team is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer in Kaunas, Lithuania to drive the development of our next-generation IoT and networking solutions. In this role, you will take ownership of hardware design cycles, collaborate on complex system architectures, and apply your expertise to scale our connectivity ecosystem.
 

Teltonika’s networking solutions business unit develops and manufactures industrial and enterprise connectivity equipment, primarily routers, switches, gateways, and modems. Our networking devices serve clients in the most complex areas of Industry 4.0, Smart City, and Green Energy. 
 

In this role, you will:

  • Design adapters, enclosures, custom mechanical parts and mechanical assemblies for manufacturing test equipment. 
  • Create and manage CAD models, drawings and other design documentation. 
  • Prepare and maintain mechanical documentation, assembly instructions, and Bills of Materials (BOMs). 
  • Communicate with suppliers and manufacturers regarding manufacturability and quality of designed parts. 
  • Build, prototype, and refine mechanical concepts using 3D printing and workshop equipment. 
  • Select, evaluate, and integrate standard mechanical and pneumatic components into custom designs. 
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and continuously improve equipment reliability, usability, and cost. 
  • Collaborate with electronics and manufacturing engineers to take ideas from concept to equipment launch 
  • Occasionally support the assembly, installation, and troubleshooting of test equipment in production. 

What we expect of you:

  • Degree (or final-year student) in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field. 
  • Basic experience with 3D CAD design (SolidWorks preferred). 
  • Interest in product development, mechanical design, and hands-on engineering. 
  • Practical mindset with a willingness to build, test, and improve your own designs. 
  • Basic understanding of manufacturing processes and mechanical engineering principles. 
  • Familiarity with workshop tools and 3D printing is an advantage. 
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems is a plus. 
  • Good communication skills and English proficiency. 
  • Curiosity, initiative, and a passion for solving engineering challenges.

Salary

We appreciate everyone's efforts and experiences, so we offer an attractive salary matching your skillset and field expertise. The salary for this position ranges from 15 Eur/h up to 21 Eur/h (~2505 Eur—3507 Eur) pre-tax, depending on your experience and expertise, with the option to get bonuses. 

*In an employment agreement, we specify and define a fixed (tariff) hourly salary rate before taxes.
