Overview:

The Junior Market Intelligence Analyst will play a key role in researching, analyzing, and delivering insights that support strategic planning, business development, and capture efforts across both federal and commercial markets. This entry-level position is ideal for a recent graduate with strong analytical skills, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for turning data into actionable intelligence. The analyst will gather and synthesize information on market trends, customer needs, competitors, and opportunities, working closely with the Marketing, Capture, Sales, and Business Development teams to drive informed decision-making. This role requires the ability to work five days per week in our Tysons, VA office. 

Responsibilities:

• Conduct market research on federal and commercial sectors, industry trends, and emerging technologies.

• Analyze federal budgets, spending priorities, and agency strategies.

• Develop customer profiles, personas, and organizational maps.

• Maintain and update a centralized repository of market insights.

• Research and profile competitors, including offerings, positioning, customers, pricing, and market share.

• Conduct SWOT analyses, benchmarking, and gap analyses.

• Monitor competitor moves, such as M&A, partnerships, and product launches.

• Support Black Hat reviews and competitive assessments for major bids.

• Identify and analyze federal and commercial contract/grant opportunities.

• Provide market data for capture plans, price-to-win strategies, and teaming decisions.

• Generate opportunity briefs, sales battlecards, and market entry recommendations.

• Build dashboards and reports to visualize market trends, customer behavior, and pipeline performance.

• Maintain and enhance CRM platforms to improve data quality and usability.

• Support PowerApps and Power BI dashboard development and updates.

• Identify automation opportunities to improve research workflows.

• Provide training and documentation for CRM and dashboard usage.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Economics, Marketing, Data Analytics, or related field.

• Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to interpret and synthesize complex data.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present findings clearly.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with Power BI, PowerApps, or CRM tools is a plus.

• Ability to learn quickly, manage multiple projects, and work both independently and collaboratively.

• Attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.

• Interest in both federal and commercial market landscapes, industry trends, and competitive dynamics.

• This role requires the ability to work five days per week in our Tysons, VA office.
