ispace, inc. is seeking a bilingual junior legal specialist to support a wide range of legal and regulatory functions across our business operations. This role involves drafting and reviewing contracts in both Japanese and English, managing internal compliance frameworks, supporting corporate governance activities such as shareholder and board meetings, and coordinating with external legal professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong legal drafting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
- 1. Contract Drafting & Review
- Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements in both Japanese and English, including:
- Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
- Business Agreements (e.g., Payload Service Agreement, Data Service Agreement, Launch Service Agreement)
- Consulting Agreements
- Purchase Agreements
- 2. Compliance
- Draft and manage internal policies and rules (Japanese and English)
- Develop and deliver internal e-learning training programs (Japanese and English)
- Conduct antisocial force checks and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- 3. Shareholders’ Meetings
- Prepare legal documents and handle legal registrations in coordination with the Holdings Legal and Compliance Group
- 4. Board of Directors Meetings
- Support the operation of the Board of Directors for the Japanese subsidiary, including:
- Drafting notices to convene meetings
- Preparing meeting minutes
- Handling related legal registrations
- 5. Stock Options
- Manage legal registration processes related to stock option exercises in collaboration with the HR team
- 6. Government Permissions
- Provide legal support for obtaining necessary government approvals and permits
- 7. External Collaboration
- Liaise and coordinate with external legal professionals, including law firms and judicial scriveners (Shiho Shoshi)

Basic Qualifications
- Graduation from the Faculty of Law in Japanese University or Law School or experience of taking bar exam in Japan.
- 1-3 years of corporate legal experience at a business company(s),
- English proficiency (business level),
- Contract drafting and negotiation skills in Japanese.
- Contract review and negotiation skills in English.
- Experience in handling of shareholder meetings and board of directors in accordance with Japanese corporate law,
- global communication skills, flexibility, maturity, proactive mindset

- 事業会社での企業法務経験1-3年、
- 英語力(ビジネスレベル)、
- 和文契約のドラフティングスキル、英文契約のレビュースキル、日英による契約交渉スキル、
