Junior Legal Counsel

AFS Energy is growing, and so is the Legal & Compliance team! Therefore, we are looking for a detail-oriented Junior Legal Counsel who will support the team. • Participate in an analysis of (new) prospects, to safeguard that the KYC/CDD documentation meet our standards as well as to define the overall risk of their business model

• Supporting business with drafting, analyzing, and negotiating various (international) contracts

• Participating in a framework to conduct controls in terms of compliance to laws and regulations before executing a transaction and arranges communication with the (Energy) department if their advice is needed

• Update, develop and/or review compliance and legal policies

• Provide support to our Energy department on potential clients regarding AFS acceptance policies

• Provide any other legal and compliance support when required

What do we expect from you?

• Master's degree in law

• At least 1 – 2 year of experience as a corporate lawyer in a commercial environment or law firm.

• Proactive and hands-on approach

• Strong communication and analytical skills

• Excellent communication in English and Dutch (Spanish and / or Italian pre)

• You have good communication skills and are a real team player;

• You work independently and in a structured manner, you are operationally oriented and you have a critical mindset.
