The Junior Legal Counsel helps the company's subsidiaries in Latin America navigate complex legal landscapes to achieve business objectives while minimizing risks. You will be responsible for collaborating with the Legal team, other functions, and the Latam leadership team to deliver structured legal support and professional services that drive business excellence.
The Junior Legal Counsel Latam supports the Area Legal Counsel Latam (ALC Latam) across the region by providing legal advice, drafting, revising, and negotiating a wide range of contracts, and contributing to strategy development to ensure better decision-making and compliance. This role also involves providing operational and administrative legal support.
Key responsibilities include: offering strategic legal guidance, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, mitigating legal risks, and facilitating business growth. Also includes managing legal matters such as contract drafting and negotiation, dispute resolution, and advising on corporate governance and compliance issues.
Job DescriptionRESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborates with Latin America business (all legal subsidiaries) in the development of the Red Bull Legal standards. Supports the implementations of the right Legal setup, anticipating future needs of the organisation.
- Constant ownership, leadership & communication on Legal highlights on local level.
- Supports the ALC Latam across the full regional scope (re. Compliance, Contracts, Corporate Governance, Training and Development, Cross-border Legal Matters, Specific Industry Knowledge).
- Delivers structured support of business objectives and deliver an optimum service professionally to achieve business excellence by collaborating not only inside Legal but also with the other functions/areas and Latam leadership team.
- Reviews and negotiates contracts, drafts commercial agreements and other contractual terms in collaboration with the relevant business stakeholders, covering projects within Latin America countries.
- Provides legal and integrity related advice and acts as a business partner and advisor to the business stakeholders.
- Supports on legal issues in execution, including claim prevention and management, and where needed manage litigations.
- Supports anticipating future business and legal opportunities and challenges and developing appropriate legal strategies to address them.
- Identifies risks, external threats, and opportunities to the company, proactively and proposes appropriate strategies.
- Law degree
- Fluency in English and Spanish is a must
- 2-5 years of legal experience, preferably from working as an in-house counsel in a multinational company.
- Candidates with experience in beverage/consumer goods or project contracts from a well-recognized law firm will also be considered.
- Experience from working in multiple jurisdictions and from providing cross-border legal support.
- Good interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills and being able to work effectively with business clients.
