Role Summary:
The purpose of this role is to provide and maintain technical support for Daon’s staff and IT team, with a strong focus on assisting the IT team in day-to-day operational tasks that require manual monitoring and timely response. The primary focus will be on end-user workstations and L1 support, specifically Windows and macOS laptops.
This position reports to Support Administrator.
Your contribution:
- Work with ticketing system to provide first-level IT support to end users (accounts, access issues, basic troubleshooting)
- Assist with user onboarding and offboarding
- Support new hires through the IT onboarding process and beyond via our documentation and procedures
- Prepare user laptops and workstations
- Perform OS setups following internal IT procedures
- Deploy and monitor updates using company-approved tools
- Manage and maintain IT asset inventory
- Report and document all asset changes
- Install, configure, and support desktop setup connectivity
- Assist in maintaining basic IT documentation and procedures
- Escalating more complex issues to senior IT
- Learn and follow IT security and operational best practices
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of Windows and macOS operating systems and general IT concepts
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive – nice to have)
- Willingness to learn, follow instructions, and work within defined processes
- Good communication skills with a user-oriented mindset
- Ability to document work and follow procedures
- Basic English proficiency (written and verbal)
Education & Experience
- Students or early-stage candidates in IT, Computer Science, or related fields
- No prior professional IT experience required
