About Mecka AI

Mecka AI is building the data infrastructure layer for robotics and embodied AI.
We design and operate global systems for data capture, data labeling, and hardware-enabled workflows used by leading AI labs and robotics companies to train and validate humanoid and embodied AI systems.
We work closely with frontier robotics teams to bridge real-world data, simulation, learning-based systems, and deployed hardware.

The role

Mecka is looking for a Junior IT & Security Operations Specialist to help our team work smoothly and securely. You will be a first point of contact for everyday technology needs, help manage employee devices and access, and learn how to review routine security findings. You will work closely with the Security/IT Lead, who will guide you on complex issues and review production changes.

What you’ll do
  • Prepare and support Windows and Mac laptops, including setup, software installation, inventory, and troubleshooting.

  • Help onboard and offboard employees by following approved account, device, and access procedures.

  • Respond to employee support requests clearly and promptly; document fixes and escalate issues you cannot resolve.

  • Check endpoint enrollment, software updates, patch status, and routine vulnerability findings.

  • Review routine security alerts and logs, record relevant details, and escalate suspicious activity.

  • Maintain clear setup guides, asset records, and operational checklists.

  • Assist with supervised work in Google Workspace, Authentik, Linux, Ansible, Elastic, and other tools as you learn them.

What you bring
  • Up to two years of IT support or systems experience; internships, coursework, certifications, and hands-on personal projects count.

  • Comfort helping people troubleshoot common Windows or macOS problems.

  • Basic understanding of user accounts, permissions, networking, and safe handling of company data.

  • Good written communication, attention to detail, and willingness to ask questions and escalate when needed.

  • Interest in learning security operations and automation.

Helpful, but not required

Experience with Google Workspace, device management, Linux, scripting, Ansible, Elastic, or identity and access management. You do not need experience with every tool to apply.

How we’ll support you

You will receive guidance from the Security/IT Lead, documented procedures, and opportunities to build deeper systems and security skills. You will not be expected to make high-risk changes or handle major incidents alone.

A Note on Applying

Studies show women and candidates from underrepresented groups often only apply when they meet 100% of the listed qualifications, while others apply after meeting 60%. If you don't check every box above but believe you can do the job, we encourage you to apply — we're looking for capability and trajectory, not a perfect checklist match.

Use of Artificial Intelligence in Recruitment

Mecka uses artificial intelligence (AI) responsibly to support administrative and efficiency-focused aspects of our recruitment process. This includes activities such as drafting job descriptions, generating interview questions, note-taking and recordings, and supporting sourcing and scheduling workflows. All candidate evaluations, interviews, and hiring decisions are made by members of the Mecka team. Mecka regularly reviews its recruitment practices to mitigate bias and to ensure alignment with applicable laws and evolving best practices.
