We are seeking a talented individual to join our Strategy team at Mercer. This role will be based in Lisbon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.
The Strategy Team is part of the Wealth business line and is dedicated in supporting the client manager consultants in all projects linked to the investment strategy of our clients. As a strategy analyst, you will specialize in strategic financial analysis and modelling for the UK pension funds market.
You will be an integral part of an exciting project, were we support our Investment Solutions teams based in UK. As you develop your skills and knowledge, you will take on additional responsibility and you will have the opportunity to enhance your expertise and learn from others as you build a platform for career growth.
We will count on you to:
Work closely with UK Investment Consulting team to produce diverse Strategy client work, specifically on Liability Driven Investments and Asset Liability modelling;
Work closely with UK business to develop, standardize and improve products for Investment Consulting;
Be an active part in collecting knowledge from internal clients (i.e. Consultants) and create training and checking documents;
Work with various spreadsheets and modelling tools. Work internally and with UK to improve and develop these.
What you need to have:
Bachelor/ Master’s degree in engineering, math, actuarial science, statistics, economics, finance, management or related field.
Fluent in English (minimum C1 level).
Good analytical skills and ability to work through tasks in a logical manner.
Ability to work as part of a team and build strong relationships with peers, colleagues and other stakeholders.
Able to take ownership of your work, ensuring standards and deadlines are met and keeping others informed and up-to-date.
Able to work well under pressure, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
