Brown Brothers Harriman is currently recruiting Investment Tax Specialist to join our Global Tax Services.  Step into the dynamic world of hedge funds and private equity. In this exciting role, you'll be integral to supporting tax operations for some of the most innovative investment funds. Whether you’re preparing tax workpapers or assisting in complex tax compliance, this position offers a unique opportunity to develop expertise in the tax needs of hedge fund and private equity clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Hedge Fund and Private Equity Tax Operations: Assist with tax-related activities for hedge funds and private equity funds, helping ensure compliance with tax regulations and contributing to the accurate processing of tax documents.
• Preparation of Tax Workpapers: Collaborate with senior specialists and management team in preparing tax workpapers, schedules, and documentation to support internal deliverables and client reporting.
• Skill Development & Training: Participate in targeted training sessions with a management team who have decades of industry experience to deepen your knowledge of investment tax concepts, accounting principles, and industry best practices, enhancing both your professional growth and contributions to the team.
• Creative Problem-Solving: Contribute to the identification and resolution of tax-related issues, offering innovative solutions to support tax compliance and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work alongside various teams within BBH to ensure seamless tax operations, contributing to the broader success of the firm.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of accounting and tax concepts, with a keen interest in investment tax and compliance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, with excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to execute initiatives and resolve tax-related issues.
• Motivated to develop specialized knowledge in hedge fund and private equity tax operations.
